1994 Season
Carrie Strope played in all 18 games in 1994, Nebraska's inagural season as a varsity women's sport. Strope recorded only four shots on the season, but was a key part of the Husker backline. NU's defense allowed just a 1.06 goals-against average on the season. The team went 14-4 on the year.
High School
Strope lettered four years at Southeast High School, leading the Knights to three consecutive city championships from 1991-93. In 1994, Strope tallied six goals and seven assists, earning second-team all-state honors. In addition, she was named first-team all-conference four consecutive years from 1991-94. Strope's club team, Gladiator Synergy, placed first in Nebraska in 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1994, and finished third in their region in 1993.
Other Information
Strope was a member of the National Honor Society and was on the honor roll at Southeast.
Personal Information
The daughter of Arnold and Connie Strope, Carrie has one brother, Cory, 16. Carrie was born Jan. 23, 1976.
