Senior (2018-19)
Rachel Yager completed her collegiate career on a high note, recording personal best scores in both disciplines. Yager notched a mark of 580 in smallbore against Ohio State and 587 in air rifle against Navy. She improved her career averages to 567.36 in smallbore and 577.75 in air rifle over four seasons with Nebraska. 

Yager was a leader in the classroom as a eight-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She was named Big Ten Distinguished Scholar twice and Academic All Big Ten twice, in addition to earning the Nebraska Outstanding Scholar Award.  Yager was counted on as a leader in the community as a four-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team and a recipient of the Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award.

Junior (2017-18)
Yager contended for a regular spot in the lineup for Nebraska in 2017-18. As an upperclassman with a lot of experience on the range, she helped the Huskers replace the loss of All-Americans Rachel Martin and Jaycee Carter. She recorded an average of 566.11 in nine smallbore appearances and 577.50 in eight air rifle appearances.

Off the range, Yager earned academic All-Big Ten honors for the second straight season and claimed a prestigious Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award for her work in the community.

Sophomore (2016-17)
Yager saw much more action in her second year with the Huskers, appearing 10 times in both smallbore and air rifle. She posted career-best scores in both disciplines as a sophomore. In smallbore, she improved her career high score by more than 15 points, firing 575 twice in 2016-17. In air rifle, she earned a 586 against Kentucky, setting a new personal best. 

Off the range, Yager was a difference-maker in the classroom and in the community. She was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an academic All-Big Ten choice while claiming a pair of spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She was also Nebraska's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for rifle in 2017.

Freshman (2015-16)
Yager was one of three signees in Coach Ashley MacAllister's first recruiting class at Nebraska in 2015-16. Yager appeared four times in smallbore and five times in air rifle in her first season. She made an immediate impact in the classroom, earning spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both semesters.

Before Nebraska
Yager began shooting competitively at age 8, as a member of the Gallatin Valley Sharpshooters. She was an active member of the club for a decade, both as an athlete and coach. Yager was a state champion in both air rifle and smallbore and qualified for the National Junior Olympic Championships four consecutive years. Yager was also a member of National Honor Society in high school.

Personal
The daughter of Erik and Jacki Yager, Rachel was born on May 18, 1997. She has two younger sisters, Sam and Ali. Rachel majored in communication sciences and disorders and earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2019. He was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2017 and 2018. She was a two-time academic All-Big Ten selection. She was a eight-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. Rachel earned a Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award in 2018, after being named a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner in 2017. She was a four-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
