2003-04 Outlook
One of five newcomers in the Nebraska lineup, Sarah Quinn is another freshman who brings national-level competition experience into the Nebraska program.
Quinn is currently competing with junior Laura Johnson and freshman Stacy Underwood for the fourth position in the air rifle lineup and may make a bid for a spot in the smallbore lineup. According to Head Coach Launi Meili, Quinn’s poise and maturity gives her a chance to be successful early on in her Husker career.
"Sarah is a very mature freshman who is very even-keeled and has a high work ethic," Meili said. "She is one of the shooters who is pushing for a spot in the air rifle lineup and as she gains more experience, she will become more consistent."
As a Junior Competitor
Quinn comes to Nebraska as one of the top junior shooters on the East Coast. Earlier this summer, she placed eighth at the American Legion Championships and competed at the National Championships at Camp Perry, Ohio. A three-time qualifier for the Junior Olympic National Championships. Quinn placed 25th in air rifle and 22nd in the three-position event at the 2002 Junior Olympic Nationals.
