Senior (2018-19)
Hannah Virga capped a successful senior season with an appearance at the 2019 NCAA Championships. Virga, the only Husker to compete at the Championships, recorded a score of 588 as an individual in the air rifle discipline. After four seasons with Nebraska she produced career averages of 570.05 in smallbore and 584.66 in air rifle. 

Virga was also counted on as a leader off the range as a seven-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and a three-time selection to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. She earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2019.

Junior (2017-18)
Virga stepped into a leadership role in the Husker lineup as a junior, helping fill the void left by Nebraska's two departed seniors. Virga competed in both disciplines in every match except the 2018 NCAA Championships, averaging a smallbore score of 574.86 and an air rifle score of 585.57.

Virga also made an impact off the range, earning academic All-Big Ten honors and a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for the second time in 2018.

Sophomore (2016-17)
Despite limited time in the rotation, Virga managed to set a career high in smallbore with a 572 in Nebraska's match against Ohio State.  This mark outdid her previous personal record by two points. She also earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for her efforts in the community.

Freshman (2015-16)
Virga came to Nebraska as one of three signees in Coach Ashley MacAllister's first recruiting class. The Arizona native appeared 12 times in smallbore and 13 times in air rifle. On Nov. 1, 2015, Virga fired a 597, tying Rachel Martin for the highest air rifle score. Virga saw the second-most action on the range among the freshman class.

In the classroom, Virga made her mark, earning spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters.

Before Nebraska
Virga started formal rifle training at the age of 7. As a shooter, Virga was first publicly recognized when she was 10-years-old, being named the APS Power Player of the Year while competing in the Grand Canyon State games. She was a State Junior Olympic Champion and NRA Champion in Arizona. In 2015, Virga qualified for the Junior Olympic National Championships and shot an air rifle score of 392 out of 400, which is the highest mark ever posted by a junior from The Rio Salado Sportsman's Club.

Hannah is the third shooter from The Rio Salado Sportsman's Club to sign with Nebraska, following in the footsteps of Joyce Kim and Christine Costello.

Personal
The daughter of John and Alycia Virga, Hannah was born on Oct. 22, 1996. A communication sciences and disorders major, she earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2019. She claimed academic All-Big Ten honors in 2018 and 2019. Hannah was a seven-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. She was Nebraska's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for rifle in 2019. She earned spots on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She participated in the Nebraska Life Skills Service Trip Abroad to Bocas del Toro, Panama in May of 2018.
