Junior (2024-25)
Camilla Johannessen competed in every match for the Huskers except for the NCAA Championships and posted season-bests of 585 in the smallbore, 595 in the air rifle and 1,180. All three of those scores either tied or surpassed her previous career-highs. Johannessen registered two third-place finishes in the air rifle throughout the 2024-25 season. Johannessen was selected as a member of the Academic All-Big Ten team and was a CRCA Scholastic All-American.
Sophomore (2023-24)
Johannessen competed in every match for Nebraska in 2023-24, including the NCAA Championships. She posted a career high of 581 in the smallbore at Kentucky on Jan. 14 and owns averages of 572.39 in the smallbore, 584.77 in the air rifle and 1,157.15 in the aggregate. She was also selected as a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Freshman (2022-23)
As a freshman, Johannessen competed in every match for the Huskers except the NCAA Championships. She earned five top-10 overall finishes, seven top-10 air rifle finishes and four top-10 smallbore finishes. She averaged 573.15 in the smallbore, 588.31 in the air rifle and 1,161.46 in the aggregate.
Before Nebraska
Johannessen competed in the Norwegian Junior Championships in 2021 and 2022, and her team placed first in the 50m 3x40 match in 2021 and second in the junior women’s 60-shot air rifle match and sixth at the seniors air rifle mix in 2022. Individually, she placed seventh in the 50m outdoor 3x40 match in 2021 and 11th in the 60-shot junior women’s air rifle match in 2022.
Personal
Johannessen is the daughter of Line Paulsen and Oeyvind Johannessen. Her late sister, Julie, attended TCU. Johannessen comes from a shooting family: her grandpa, both parents and her sister shoot. She will be studying business management/marketing at Nebraska. Some of her hobbies include training, biathalons and Formula 1.
