2019-20: Sophomore (Year of Eligibility Restored Due to COVID-19 Pandemic)
After a strong freshman season, Moreno Lozano emerged as Nebraska's No. 1 singles player during a spring season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The sophomore from Madrid, Spain, earned seven singles wins in the fall before adding another five in the spring for a 12-12 overall record, an impressive mark competing primarily out of the top spot in the lineup. His 12 singles victories ranked second on the team, with Moreno Lozano posting a 3-6 record out of the No. 1 spot in the lineup and a 2-1 mark in No. 2 singles. Moreno Lozano tied for the team lead with seven singles wins during the fall. He then went 5-7 in the spring, with four of his seven losses coming to ranked opponents, including three to top-30 players. Arguably his biggest singles win of the season was a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory over UTSA's Kai Breitbach that clinched a 4-3 Nebraska win. On the doubles court, Moreno Lozano posted a 4-10 record, including a 2-5 mark in the spring.
