2018-19: Senior
Jon Meyer notched three singles wins and a doubles victory -- alongside fellow senior Toby Boyer -- in his final season at Nebraska. The Lincoln native continued to contribute off the court, as for the third time since coming to Nebraska, Meyer brought the team together for a day with the Tennis Buddies, a Lincoln organization who provides athletes with developmental and physical disabilities an opportunity to practice tennis free of cost.

Meyer, who was a two-time recipient of the Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award for his outstanding commitment to community service, was also Nebraska's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for men's tennis in 2019. He was a member of the 2019 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for the second year in a row.

2017-18: Junior
In his second year at Nebraska, Meyer competed at the ITA All-American Championships and the ITA Central Regional Championship in the fall. Meyer did not play singles for the Huskers in the spring. In doubles competition, the Lincoln native teamed up with Rok Krizaj for a match against South Dakota State on Jan. 13.

Off the court, Meyer was a recipient of the 2018 Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award, a member of the 2018 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team, and claimed his second straight academic All-Big Ten award in 2018.

2016-17: Sophomore
As a sophomore transfer, Meyer brought collegiate experience and determination to the team.

Meyer, a 2014 graduate of Lincoln Southwest High School, sat out the 2015-16 season as a redshirt for the Shockers before transferring to Nebraska prior to the 2016-17 season. His collegiate experience could help him contend for a lineup spot for the Huskers this spring.

Before Nebraska
Meyer appeared in four duals as a freshman for nationally ranked Wichita State in 2014-15, posting a perfect 4-0 singles record. He redshirted as a sophomore at Wichita State in 2015-16.

Meyer graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School in 2014. In 2013, Meyer played No. 1 singles and helped Lincoln Southwest to its first state championship. He produced a 27-6 singles record his senior year. He also earned all-conference honors at No. 1 singles in 2013.

Personal
The son of Rick and Lisa Meyer, Jon was born on Oct. 4, 1995. He has one older sister, Abby, 29. Meyer majored in marketing and earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2019. He was a six-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor selection. He was also an academic All-Big Ten selection in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Meyer won prestigious Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Awards in 2018 and 2019. He was also Nebraska's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for men's tennis in 2019. He claimed spots on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2018 and 2019.
