2017-18: Sophomore
Dylan Bednarczyk played most singles matches out of the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, notching a 5-15 overall record along with a 2-7 mark in Big Ten play. In spring competition only, Bednarczyk went 4-13.
The Canadian joined Chris Dean for the majority of his doubles matches, playing primarily from the No. 3 spot. Bednarczyk also played alongside Micah Klousia and Linus Erhart, finishing doubles action in the spring at 12-7 (1-7 Big Ten).
In the classroom, Bednarczyk earned academic All-Big Ten honors. He was also a member of the 2018 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for his services to the community.
2016-17: Freshman
Bednarczyk joined the Nebraska men’s tennis program as a highly sought-after recruit, and added a high level of talent and determination to the team. Bednarczyk paced the Huskers with 10 singles victories, including a team-best three Big Ten victories. Bednarczyk played all of his matches out of the top two spots for the Huskers. Bednarczyk made an instant impact on the Husker lineup in the spring of 2017, earning four doubles victories with three different teammates, and all four victories from the No. 1 spot.
Off the court, Bednarczyk earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
Before Nebraska
Bednarczyk attended the Niagara Academy of Sports, a specialized school for University-bound students. The school focused on high performance sports training and a personalized academic approach.
Personal
The son of Marian and Dorota Bednarczyk, Dylan was born on Sept. 7, 1998 in London, Ontario, Canada. Dylan has one older brother Daniel. Dylan is double majoring in finance and economics and claimed academic All-Big Ten honors in 2018. He is a three-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. He was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017 and 2018. He chose Nebraska over Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, Illinois, Michigan State and Ohio State.
