Todd Nicholl Season 1999-00

Outlook: Todd Nicholl, who began his collegiate career at NU in 1996 and left before his sophomore season, is a player who Husker Coach Kerry McDermott said has "been there and done that." McDermott said Nicholl, who played No. 5 singles for NU as a freshman, could figure into the Huskers' doubles lineup at the No. 6 spot at some point during the 2000 season.

Fall 1999: Nicholl posted a 1-1 mark in doubles this fall.

As a Junior (1998-99): Nicholl returned to Nebraska after a one-year stint at York University in Ontario, Canada. Nicholl went 1-0 at No. 2 doubles with Blake Wentz.

As a Sophomore (1997-98): Nicholl did not attend the University of Nebraska after transferring to York University for his sophomore season.

As a Freshman (1996-97): Nicholl played No. 5 singles as a freshman for NU, posting a 6-14 record. In doubles competition, Nicholl teamed with Magnus Grahn to go 0-2 at the No. 2 spot. Nicholl also joined Andrew Wiese at No. 3 doubles, posting a 4-7 mark.

Other: Nicholl attended St, Mark High School, where he climbed as high as third in the Canadian National 18-and-under rankings. The son of Marilyn and Chris Nicholl, Todd was born in Ottowa, Canada, on April 2, 1977. Nicholl majors in finace at Nebraska.
