Tobias Schneider Season 2007-08

Tobias Schneider came to Nebraska in January 2008, along with fellow freshman Calin Paar, in time for the spring 2008 season. Head Coach Kerry McDermott said he recruited Schneider for his doubles skills, where Tobias was ranked as high as No. 9 in the United States and No. 1 in Texas in high school. Schneider could make a splash in doubles this season for the Huskers, as NU needs depth in an area that can produce needed team points.

High School
Tobias was ranked No. 1 in Texas in doubles, and as high as No. 13 in singles. He was ranked ninth nationally in doubles while playing at Blessed Hope Academy in San Antonio and at the Newk’s Tennis Academy in New Braunfels, Texas.

Personal
Tobias was born on July 10, 1988, in Essen, Germany, and is the son of Werner and Gabriele Schneider. He has one sister, Stefanie (26), and is an international business major.
