Outlook: Sebastian Strauch (prounounced STROCK) was added to the Husker roster at the start of the spring semester, just in time for the 2004 campaign. A tall and powerful player, Strauch is the third German to join the NU squad in the past two years. Strauch has a huge serve and ground stroke, and his court maturity will help him compete for immediate playing time near the top of the Nebraska lineup.
High School: Strauch played competitive juniors tennis in Germany, but did not participate in tennis in high school. He ranked as high as No. 40 in the country in juniors, and No. 260 nationally overall.
Personal: Sebastian is the son of SigLinde and Ulf Strauch. He was born April 10, 1982, and has one sister, Myriam. He has not declared a major at Nebraska.
