Outlook: Kelsey Moran returns for the 2000 season after redshirting in 1999. Coach Kerry McDermott will rely on Moran to provide depth in the doubles and singles lineups.

Fall 1999: Moran and junior Kai Rieke teamed to go 2-2 in doubles competition during the fall. The duo saved their best performance for the Oct. 17 Drake Fall Classic. Moran and Rieke advanced to the Flight A doubles consolation match but fell to teammates Andrew Wiese and Ryan Haith.

As a Junior (1998-99): Moran redshirted the 1999 season. A pre-medical student and NU Regents Scholar, Moran spent the semester studying and preparing his application for medical school.

As a Sophomore (1997-98): Moran cracked the lineup at the Nos. 5-6 spots in 1998, posting a 3-2 mark. Moran recorded a combined 3-4 record playing Nos. 2-3 doubles. Moran earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 1997.

As a Freshman (1996-97): Primarily playing doubles, the Lincoln East product teamed with Andrew Wiese and Magnus Grahn, going 0-2 during the season. Moran earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 1997.

Other: The son of Dr. James and Stephanie Moran, Kelsey played tennis at Lincoln East High School. In 1996, Moran ranked eighth in the Missouri Valley boys 18-and-under singles category. Five years ago, he was fifth in the Missouri Valley boys 16-and-under singles and qualified for nationals. Moran has a 3.811 GPA in biochemistry.
