Outlook: Jedd Segrist returns to the Nebraska tennis program after missing last season. Head Coach Kerry McDermott said Segrist, a walk-on, is a better player now than two seasons ago. In 1998, he will provide depth and could possibly crack into the lineup.

Fall 1997: Segrist did not see any action during the fall season.

1996-97: He did not play tennis because of class commitments.

1995-96: As a freshman, Segrist played a reserve role and did not compete in any matches.

Other: The son of John and Cathy Segrist, Jedd played both basketball and tennis at Alliance High School. In tennis, Segrist was a two-time Class B state champion, taking first place in 1993 and 1994. Segrist has two older brothers, Jay and Jeremy. Jay played tennis at NU from 1990-1994. The Alliance, Neb., native was also an academic all-state selection in both basketball and tennis. Segrist owns a 3.857 grade-point average and majors in accounting.
