Outlook (2009-10)
One of two seniors on this year's squad, Francois Van Impe will look to make an impact in the middle of the Husker lineup at the No. 3, 4 or 5 spots. A three-year letterwinner for NU, Van Impe's experience will pay dividends to a fairly young Husker roster that includes one redshirt freshman, two true freshmen, and five sophomores. One of the Huskers' top doubles players, Van Impe will most likely team up with Benedikt Lindheim to make up the Huskers' No. 3 doubles team.

Junior (2008-09)

After a fall season that saw him win five matches, Van Impe entered the spring looking to make a major impact in the Husker lineup.  Spending most of his time at the bottom three spots of the lineup, Van Impe collected a record of 11-8 during the spring.  He was most successful at the No. 5 spot where he went 4-3 and was a perfect 3-0 when moving up to the No. 3 spot.  In Big 12 play, the junior had a 2-2 mark.  In doubles, Van Impe paired up with senior Hendrik Stahmer and recorded a team-leading 16 victories while playing the majority of the season at the No. 3 spot. The duo also went 4-1 when playing at the No. 2 spot.  Van Impe was named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team for the second consecutive season.

Freshman (2006-07)

Van Impe was thrown into the Husker rotation immediately as a freshman, seeing action in seven singles matches (1-6) and eight doubles matches (3-5) in the fall season.  Van Impe continued to get playing time during the spring season, earning a 5-4 singles record and 5-9 doubles mark.  Van Impe was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in both the fall and the spring semesters in 2006-07.
