Outlook: Florian Preissler (pronounced FLOOR-ee-on PRICE-la) joined the Huskers at the start of the second semester, transferring from the University of Munich. A native of Hoesbach, Germany, Preissler will get into the mix immediately, likely challenging for one of the top three spots in the singles lineup.

 

Previous School/College:

Preissler competed in tennis in Germany, earning a ranking as high as No. 276 in the nation. He was  state champion in the men's under 21 tournament in 2000. He attended Krouberg-Gymnasium in Aschattenburg, Germany, graduating in 1998. From there, Preissler went to the University of Munich until coming to the United States in January 2003. 

 

Personal:

Florian is the son of Annelie and Gerd Preissler. He was born March 1, 1979, in Erlenbach a. Main, Germany. He has one sister, Kirstin.
