Senior (2012-13)
Eric Sock grabbed a 10-19 singles record in his final season for the Huskers, including a 5-12 spring mark and going 1-4 in the Big Ten. Sock faced only one ranked opponent, NO. 45 Max Wennakoski from VCU, whom he fell to 3-6, 2-6, resulting in an 0-1 record against ranked foes. Sock played from all of the singles spots except the No. 6. Sock went 0-1 at the No. 1, 0-1 at the No. 2, 0-1 at the No. 3, 4-6 at the No. 4, and 1-3 from the No. 5.

 

Sock only completed six doubles matches in the spring hitting a 2-4 mark and going 4-7 overall. Sock's doubles matches were all Big Ten bouts alongside fellow senior Andre Stenger at the No. 1 position. The duo fell to No. 13 Kobelt and Smith of Ohio State in their only ranked match.

 

Sock earned a few awards off the court as a senior. Sock grabbed a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013 and qualified for Academic All-Big Ten for 2013. Sock also received the Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award for Nebraska men's tennis in 2013.

 

Junior (2011-12)
Sock finished his junior season with an 8-14 singles record, including a 4-6 record in the fall and a 4-8 record in the spring.  Sock competed in one match at the No. 4 spot, where he earned a victory. He played most of his matches in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, where he finished with a combined 3-8 record. In doubles play, Sock finished with a 14-16 record. He primarily teamed with Stefan Gollner for a 6-11 record playing a majority of their matches out of the No. 3 spot in the lineup. 

 

Sophomore (2010-11)
Sock closed his sophomore campaign with a 3-3 singles record, including an 0-1 mark in Big 12 play. Sock played the majority of his matches out of the bottom half of the Nebraska lineup. In doubles play, Sock went 1-0, pairing with Sebastian Florczyk for a a win at the No. 3 spot. During the fall season, Sock went 4-4.

A solid performer off the court, Sock claimed spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. 


Freshman (2009-10)
Sock posted a 3-3 record in the fall and followed with a 3-6 mark during the spring season, finishing the year 6-9 overall. He went 1-1 in the No. 5 spot and 2-5 at the No. 6 spot. Sock added a 1-4 doubles record.

In the classroom, Sock earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll. 

High School
A four-year letterwinner and all-state performer at Blue Valley North High School, Sock helped his team to the 2009 Kansas Class 6A (largest) state championship as a senior and was the state runner-up in singles. As a junior, Sock won the doubles state championship with partner Hank Lee. Sock was named to the Principal's Honor Roll all four years at Blue Valley North. Sock was coached by Mike Wolf.

Personal
Eric was born on Sept. 22, 1990, in Lincoln, Neb., and is the son of Larry and Pamela Sock.  He has one brother, Jack. A business administration major at Nebraska, Eric captured academic All-Big Ten honors in 2013. He earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2012-13. He was a three-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
