Senior (2011-12)
Drew Freeman closed his career at Nebraska with a 12-24 combined singles and doubles record. As a senior, Freeman played out of the No. 6 spot in the lineup. He competed in a career-high 11 singles matches in the fall and spring campaigns finishing with a 3-8 record. He finished the fall campaign with two victories and also added another victory in the spring against Tyler Sperry (Ventura College) 6-3, 6-1. On the doubles court he teamed up with Tom Blackwell finishing with an 0-5 record.
Junior (2010-11)
Freeman did not participate in any singles matches for the Huskers in the spring of 2011, after going 1-3 in fall play. Freeman did go 2-0 in doubles play during the spring, teaming with Benedikt Lindheim at No. 3 for an 8-2 win over Creighton's Gabe Nagy and Ryan Norman on Feb. 19. Freeman closed his spring by pairing with Robert Schulze at the No. 2 spot for an 8-6 victory over UMKC's Cameron Schoenhofer and Gustavo Guerin in mid-March.
Sophomore (2009-10)
Freeman went 1-1 in the fall and didn't compete in a singles match for the Huskers in the spring. He went 1-0 in his lone doubles match, joining Brandon Videtich at the No. 3 spot.
Freshman (2008-09)
Freeman went 1-0 on the season after defeating Mike Elson (Creighton) 7-6, 6-3, on March 22. Freeman finished the year with a 0-1 doubles record by teaming with Jake Lysgaard against Michel Macara-Chvili and Evgeny Samoylov (Bradley).
High School
While attending Jenks High School, Freeman was the state runner- up in No. 1 doubles his senior year. He won the No. 2 singles title his junior year and his team won the overall Oklahoma state championship.
Personal
Drew was born on May 26, 1989, in Tulsa, Okla., and is the son of Gary and Tori Freeman. He majored in accounting and earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2012.
