Outlook:
D.J. Geatz (pronounced Gets) will bring energy and enthusiasm to the tennis team. He has a tough baseline game and will likely find a place in the lineup at Nebraska early in his career. His competitiveness will help him push the Huskers.
High School:
Geatz was ranked among the top 30 juniors nationally as a senior after he reached the quarterfinal round of the national clay and hardcourt tournament. He is the highest-ranked junior to sign with the Huskers under Coach Kerry McDermott. Geatz was a four-time all-state selection while earning all-conference honors five times. He won the singles state title as a junior and helped his squad to the team championship during his freshman and senior seasons.

D.J. is the son of David and Pamela Geatz and was born Aug. 4, 1983. He is undecided on a major at Nebraska.
