2024 (Senior)

Cooper Giles had an impressive 2024 season as he earned NCAA All-American honors with his sixth-place finish on pommel horse and earned two individual titles. Additionally, Giles was named to the Second-Team All-Big Ten. On the season, he set his career best on the pommel horse with a 14.70 during NU’s victory over Ohio State in March.

Outside of the gym, Giles was named to the Academic All-Big Ten and Tom Osborne Citizenship teams.

2023 (Senior) 
Cooper Giles secured a career-high, four individual titles on the pommel horse and earned CGA Regular-Season All-American honors. He set a career-high score of 14.50 on the pommel horse in a mid-season tri-meet with Oklahoma and Simpson College on February 17, 2023.

Giles found success outside of the gym, earning a Nebraska Silver Academic Medallion, as well as spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2022 (Junior) 
Before being sidelined due to injury, Giles competed in two meets, earning a season-best 14.30 on pommel horse and a personal best 13.55 on floor.

Outside of the gym, Giles earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. He also earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship team for his dedication to serving the Lincoln community. 

2021 (Sophomore) 
Giles made a consistent impact on the season competing on pommel horse in every meet of the year. Giles claimed two individual pommel horse titles earning him College Gymnastics Association regular-season All-America honors on the event. After notching a 14.10 on pommel horse at Penn State, Giles was named CGA National Specialist of the Week. 

Giles earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. 

2020 (Freshman)
Giles competed in all five meets before the season ended early due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Giles was a CGA All-America Scholar-Athlete and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters. Giles also earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. 

Before Nebraska
Giles competed for Premier Gymnastics under 2004 Olympic Champion Paul Hamm. Giles was a five-time national qualifier and a two-time national champion on pommel horse. 

Personal
Cooper is the son of Stewart Giles and Cheri Rose, and has one brother, Charlie, who is also a gymnast at Nebraska. A nutrition and health sciences major, Cooper is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. He is a six-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll choice and a five-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Giles chose Nebraska because “the amazing coaching staff and team atmosphere is huge, as well as having the new gym being built and being able to train in the best facility in the NCAA.”
