2014 (Senior)

Wyatt Aycock completed his last season with the Huskers in style, contributing scores on at least three events per meet throughout the season. Aycock returned to NU's all-around lineup towards the end of the season, competing in all six events in three meets. His all-around contributions included performances at the Big Ten Championships and the NCAA Team Qualifiers, and he consistently earned all-around scores of 84.35 or higher in all three meets.

A native of Orlando, Fla., Aycock rounded out his final competitive season by scoring a personal best score of 14.60 on rings during the NCAA Team Qualifiers on April 10, 2014. This score gave him a thirteenth place finish on the event overall.

At the NCAA Championships, Aycock qualified to the second night of all-around competition during the Team and All-Around Finals on April 11, 2014. He finished eighth overall with a score of 85.500, earning All-American honors in the all-around for the second year in a row.

2013 (Junior)

Wyatt Aycock returned to his position on Nebraska's all-around lineup for his third season on the team. He competed in all six events three times throughout the regular season, consistently finishing with an all-around score of 82.10 or higher.

The Orlando, Fla., native also set three personal best scores during the 2013 competitive season. He claimed another 14.70 on floor exercise when the Huskers faced the Fighting Illini in Champaign, Illi., matching his previously-set record. He also set a new career record on pommel horse and matched his personal best on rings for the third time.

Aycock competed as an all-arounder for the Huskers at both the Big Ten Championships and NCAA Championships. He moved on to the all-around finals at the NCAA Championships on April 20. He finished with an all-around total of 85.20, placing him seventh overall and earning him All-American honors.

2012 (Sophomore)

In his second season at Nebraska, Aycock notched a career-high 14.80 on pommel horse against Iowa on March 23, 2012. His score was the best by a Husker on the event in 2012.

The native of Orlando, Fla., added three individual titles with wins on pommel horse against Iowa and against Minnesota and Illinois, and on parallel bars (14.65) against Iowa.

He finished his sophomore season by notching a 15.00 on vault at the Big Ten Championships in Iowa City, Iowa. Aycock also performed at the NCAA Team Qualifier, competing in three events for the Huskers.

Aycock also performed well in the classroom, earning a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2011.   

2011 (Freshman)

Aycock made a major impact as one of the nation’s top freshman all-arounders in 2011. He uncorked Nebraska’s best all-around score since 2008 with a career-high 88.60 in a triangular victory over Iowa and Minnesota in the regular-season finale at the Devaney Center on March 19.

Along the way, Aycock produced career bests on still rings (14.20), vault (16.00), parallel bars (15.10) and high bar (14.40). He added a season-best 14.50 on pommel horse. His vault and parallel bars scores against the Golden Gophers and Hawkeyes were NU’s best marks of the season.

He claimed individual titles in the all-around and parallel bars against Iowa and Minnesota after capturing the first all-around crown of his career one week earlier at Ohio State (84.40). He finished the year with three individual event wins.

Aycock led the Huskers with a seventh-place all-around finish (86.80) at the 2011 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in Colorado Springs, Colo., on April 2. He added a sixth-place showing on parallel bars (14.95) and a ninth-place finish on pommel horse (14.00). He also tied for 11th (14.25) on high bar at the conference meet. He managed an all-around score of 85.05 for the Huskers at the 2011 NCAA Team Qualifier in Columbus, Ohio, on April 14.

In addition to his success in the gym, Aycock earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2010.

Before Nebraska

Aycock finished third in the all-around (80.65) at the 2010 Visa Championships. As one of the nation’s best Level 10 gymnasts, he finished among the top 10 in every event at the championships. Aycock placed second in both pommel horse and floor exercise at the 2009 Visa Championships, while adding a fifth-place finish in the all-around. A member of the Future Stars National Team and a two-time Junior National Team member, Aycock qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals all six years he was eligible. He was also a six-time member of the Region VIII team.

He earned 14 medals in the Florida State Championships and 16 medals in the Region VIII Championships during his career. At JO Nationals, Aycock recorded top-10 finishes on floor, pommel horse and parallel bars. He also produced four top-25 all-around finishes, including a fourth-place showing in 2010. In 2008, Aycock was the all-around champion at the Pacific Coast Classic and finished fourth in the elite/college competition.

Personal

The son of Bill and Charis Aycock, Wyatt was born June 22, 1992 in Cocoa Beach, Fla. Wyatt has two brothers, Tyler and Garrett. A biological sciences major at Nebraska, Wyatt earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2011, after being chosen to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2010.
