2012 (Senior)
Will Eastman provided senior leadership to the Nebraska men's gymnastics team in 2012. The native of Martinez, Ga., scored well for the Huskers in his final season while competing on floor exercise and high bar.

Eastman was a steady performer on the floor, scoring a 14.00 or higher six times during the season, while posting a career-high 14.90 against Iowa on March 24, 2012. 

In his final postseason for the Huskers, Eastman performed well at the Big Ten Championships scoring a 14.40 in the floor exercise. Then in his last meet at the NCAA Team Qualifers, Eastman scored a 14.85 to finish out a solid Husker career.

Also a strong performer in the classroom, Eastman earned academic All-Big Ten honors, while also capturing a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2012. 

2011 (Junior)
Eastman made an impact on the Nebraska program in his first year of competition with the Huskers as a junior in 2011. The transfer from Air Force appeared throughout the season in NU's floor exercise and vault lineups.

Eastman led the Huskers on vault at the 2011 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships by tying for 10th with teammate Wyatt Baier with a 15.85. Eastman's effort at the MPSF Championships followed a career-best 15.90 on vault in a triangular win over Iowa and Minnesota at the Devaney Center on March 19. 

He scored 15.00 or better on vault in seven of his 10 competitions during the season. Eastman was also a consistent scorer on floor for the Huskers, notching seven scores of 14.35 or better in his 10 appearances during the year, including a 14.45 at the 2011 NCAA Team Qualifier. It was NU's second-best score on floor at the championships. He also managed a 14.60 on vault for the Huskers at the NCAA Team Qualifier.

2008-10 (Air Force Academy)
Eastman earned a varsity letter at Air Force as a true freshman in 2008. He posted a season-high 14.40 on floor exercise for the Falcons and added a career-best 13.60 on high bar. He did not compete in either 2009 or 2010 at Air Force. 

Before Nebraska
Eastman spent two years on the gymnastics team at Air Force, after graduating from Evans High School in Georgia. He was coached by Andy Thornton.

Personal

The son of David and Devana Eastman, Will was born March 11, 1988. Will has an older sister, Carolyn. Will is a criminology and criminal justice major at Nebraska and captured academic All-Big Ten honors as a senior in 2012, after earning second-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 2011. He was also a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2012.
