2026 (Redshirt)
Nye did not compete in any meets and was a redshirt for Nebraska. Outside of the gym, he made the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2025. 

Before Nebraska
Tristen Nye competed at Above the Barre in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a state champion in the all-around division in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2024. He was the National Champion for pommel horse in 2021 and a two-time qualifier for the United States Championships.  

Personal
Tristen is the son of Ty and Allison Nye, and he has three siblings: Tehya, Taryn and Tabraham. His mother played volleyball and softball for the University of Charleston, and his father played football and ran track for Baldwin Wallace College. His grandfather and uncle both played football at Ohio State University. Tristen plans to major in business.
