2011 (Senior)
Matthew Forrest concluded an injury-riddled Nebraska career in 2010. Forrest did not compete as a senior while continuing to recover from a knee injury suffered midway through the 2010 campaign.

Forrest continued to excel in the classroom, earning a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll before claiming his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2011.

2010 (Junior)
Forrest made his lone career appearance for the Huskers when he posted a score of 14.75 on vault in a triangular with Oklahoma and Stanford on March 7. However, he suffered a season-ending knee injury and did not see time again for the Huskers.

Forrest was a standout academically for the Huskers, claiming a spot on the College Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-America team. He also earned selection to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. 

2009 (Sophomore) 
In his second season at Nebraska, Forrest continued to train and adjust to the skill level of collegiate gymnastics. Although he did not compete in 2009, he remained a force in the classroom, earning a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the spring of 2009.

2008 (Freshman) 
Forrest did not compete in his first season at Nebraska, after joining the Huskers as a walk-on. He worked hard in the classroom and claimed spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2007-08..

Before Nebraska
A three-time Scholastic All-American and Junior Olympics qualifier, Forrest trained with McCracken's Gymnastics in Olathe, Kan., before joining Emerald City Gymnastics in Overland Park, Kan., in 2005. Under Head Coach Mike Thomas, Forrest qualified for the 2006 Level-10 Junior Olympic National Championships and the 2007 Kansas state gymnastics competition.

Personal
The son of Robert and Melissa Forrest, Matthew was born on March 28, 1988. Matthew has two sisters, Jennifer and Sarah, and one brother, Robert. A forensic science major at Nebraska, Forrest earned CGA Scholastic All-America honors in 2010. He is also a six-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll. He earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2011.
