2013 (Sophomore)
After undergoing shoulder surgery during the summer, Hayden Henrioulle spent much of the offseason recovering and gaining strength.
He continued to regain his form late in preseason training and hopes to help the Huskers on floor exercise and parallel bars in 2013. He could contend for spots on vault and still rings this season.
“Hayden is a pretty strong kid but his shoulder limited him a little bit in the past,” Nebraska Coach Chuck Chmelka said. “He’s a pretty good ringman, but he wasn’t able to compete for us last year because of his shoulder. Hopefully, if he can get healthier, he can help us on rings.”
2012 (Freshman)
After enjoying success at the junior levels of gymnastics, Henrioulle opened his college career strong as a freshman in 2012.
The Mead, Colo., native was a mainstay in the Huskers’ floor exercise rotation, where he competed 11 times. He scored 14.00 or higher seven times during the season.
Henrioulle was at his best against Oklahoma and Air Force on March 17, as well as the following week against Iowa when he scored a career-high 14.45 in the floor competition.
Also a standout in the classroom, Henrioulle earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.
Before Nebraska
Henrioulle finished 43rd in the all-around (81.80) at the 2010 Junior Olympic National Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. His 14.85 on floor exercise was good for fifth at JO Nationals, while he tied for 16th (13.65) on high bar.
He trained in the 5280 Gymnastics program, where he also served as a boys coach. An Elite Level performer, Henrioulle was coached by Vladimir Artemev.
Henrioulle finished 20th in the all-around with a 76.55 at the 2010 USA Men’s Senior National Team Qualifier in Colorado Springs, Colo. He won the junior division at the 2011 Rocky Mountain Open at the Air Force Academy with a 77.70 all-around score.
