Durst captured a career-high score of 15.35 on vault in a dual against Oklahoma and Air Force. His rings score continued to improve throughout the season, as he posted his top finish in post season action at the MPSF Championships with a score of 14.45. He also continued his hard work in the classroom, earning a third Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection in the fall of 2007.

2007: Durst redshirted his freshman season. However, he worked hard in the classroom, earning both fall and spring selections to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Prior: Durst won the state all-around title and qualified for the all-region team in both his junior and senior years at Lincoln North Star. In 2006, Durst won both the pommel horse and vault titles en route to a third-place all-around finish at regionals.

Durst received offers from both Iowa and Illinois, but chose to stay in Nebraska because of his long-time connection with the program.

He graduated from Lincoln North Star in 2006 as a member of the honor roll with a 3.4 grade-point average.
