David Jacobs completed a four-year career for the Huskers in 2012, by competing in nine meets during the season. Jacobs was a regular in Nebraska's pommel horse competition, while also contributing on still rings, parallel bars and high bar.

Jacobs was one of NU's most consistent performers on horse, producing four scores of 13.00 or better during the year. He added a 13.15 on still rings against Air Force on Jan. 22. The senior added a season-high 14.45 on high bar and a season-best of 13.90 on parallel bars during the year.

Jacobs represented the Huskers at the Big Ten Championships, where he posted a 13.20 on pommel horse in Iowa City, Iowa..

Academically, Jacobs earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2012.

2011 (Junior)
Jacobs overcame offseason shoulder surgery to compete in three events for the Huskers for most of the 2011 season. Jacobs capped his junior season by competing on pommel horse (11.75), parallel bars (14.30) and high bar (14.30) at the 2011 NCAA Team Qualifier.

Jacobs did not compete at the Rocky Mountain Open (Jan. 15) or at Minnesota (Jan. 22) while recovering from surgery. He made his first appearance in Nebraska's regular-season home-opening dual with Air Force on Jan. 30, competing only on pommel horse against the Falcons.

He competed on both horse and high bar in the triangular with Oklahoma and Illinois-Chicago (Feb. 13) and at Iowa (Feb. 19). Against eventual national champion Stanford on March 6, Jacobs competed on three events for the first time, adding his parallel bars routine to the NU lineup against the Cardinal. While posting solid numbers on both horse and parallel bars, Jacobs unleashed a career-high 14.85 on the high bar against Stanford.

Two weeks later he added another career-high performance with a 14.60 on parallel bars in NU's home triangular win over Iowa and Minnesota.

He concluded the season by posting career bests on parallel bars of 14.30 at both the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships and the NCAA Team Qualifier.

Outside of the gym, Jacobs earned second-team academic All-Big 12 accolades for his performance in the classroom.

2010 (Sophomore)
Jacobs became a consistent contributor across three events (pommel horse, parallel bars, high bar) for the Huskers as a sophomore, while also adding depth to NU's still rings and vault lineups. He competed at every meet during the 2010 season, including appearances on pommel horse (13.00), parallel bars (11.55) and high bar (12.85) at the 2010 NCAA Team Qualifier.

He managed season bests of 13.80 on horse, 13.15 on parallel bars and 14.35 on high bar. He also competed twice on still rings, including a career-high 14.75 in the triangular with Iowa and Minnesota, and twice on vault, with a career-best 15.75 in a triangular with Oklahoma and Stanford.
