Chris Damian Season 2009-10

2010: Sophomore Chris Damian, a Lincoln, Neb., native, gained collegiate experience and skill during his freshman season. Despite battling through several injuries and illnesses, Damian continues to fight back and continue training.

"Chris is a hard-working kid," He's just pounding out. He got mono, got sick, and it seems like there's always something that drags him down and then he builds back up and then something else drags him down and then he builds back up. He just has to keep training. Good things will happen to the guys that train hard."

2009: Damian did not compete for the Huskers during his freshman season.

Prior: A former member of the Nebraska School of Gymnastics under Coach Chuck Chmelka, Damian came to Nebraska as a two-time Ken Chmelka award winner. Damian was a Junior Olympic Region 4 team member and a Junior Olympic National Championship qualifier. Damian was a 2008 graduate of Lincoln Southwest.

Personal: Chris was born on May 12, 1990, to Joy Damian and Richard Reddish. Chris is a construction management major at Nebraska.
