2011 (Senior)
Bear Danley closed a solid Nebraska career as a four-year letterman by competing for the first time at the NCAA Individual Event Preliminaries in 2011. Danley notched a solid 14.50 on high bar to finish 17th in the individual session, after helping the Huskers to a second straight top 10 team finish one day earlier.Danley ended his career strong with a career-high 14.60 on floor exercise at the 2011 NCAA Team Qualifier in Columbus, Ohio, on April 14, 2011. It was just his fourth floor routine of the season and his first to score higher than 13.65. He added a solid scores of 14.30 on both parallel bars and high bar for the Huskers at the NCAA Championships.

Also a solid performer in the classroom, Danley earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the fall of 2010.

2010 (Junior)
In his third season in the Husker lineup, Danley was a mainstay in the NU lineup on horse, parallel bars and high bar, while adding depth on both floor exercise and vault. Danley earned two third-place finishes on high bar. He wrapped up his junior season at the 2010 NCAA Championships, as he earned scores of 10.55 on pommel horse, 13.60 on parallel bars and 13.80 on high bar in the team qualifier.

2009 (Sophomore)
Danley competed in nearly every meet for Nebraska in 2009, earning high scores of 12.45 on floor exercise, 13.30 on pommel horse, 14.75 on vault, 13.85 on parallel bars and 14.15 on high bar. He wrapped up his sophomore season with an appearance at the NCAA Championships, earning scores of 13.20 on floor exercise, 11.85 on pommel horse, 12.95 on parallel bars and 14.00 on high bar for the Huskers in the qualifying round.

2008 (Freshman)
Danley was one of three freshmen to compete in the Husker lineup in 2008. An aerial specialist, Danley shined on five events for Nebraska, including floor exercise, pommel horse, vault, parallel bars and high bar. He claimed his first high bar title with a career-high score of 14.60 against Iowa, before wrapping up the regular season with a second-place finish on pommel horse (14.40) against Air Force. Danley ended his stellar freshman season after competing at both the MPSF Championships and the 2008 NCAA Championships.

In addition to being a strong competitor, he shined in the classroom, earning Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades in both the fall and spring semesters.

Before Nebraska
Danley entered Nebraska after a spectacular prep career at Buffalo Grove Gymnastics in Illinois. He was an aerial specialist and a four-time Junior Olympics qualifier under Head Coach Kelly Crumley. Danley brought tremendous experience on the national level, as he finished 49th overall at the 2006 Junior Olympic National Championships after finishing 21st in his age division at the 2005 meet. In 2005, Danley posted three top-20 event finishes, placing 15th on still rings (8.75), 12th on parallel bars (8.85) and 16th on high bar (8.425). Danley was also selected to compete at the U.S. qualifier in the junior division during the 2005 season. He graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 2007.

Personal
The son of Rick and Ruth Danley, Bear was born on June 21, 1989, in Terre Haute, Ind. Bear has one brother, Seth. Bear is a computer engineering major at Nebraska and is a three-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
