2010: Despite a season-ending hand injury prior to the MPSF Championships, senior John Robinson ended his Husker gymnastics career on a high note with two 2010 event titles and two other top-three finishes. Robinson consistently ranked among the top-20 in the nation on parallel bars and in the all-around prior to his injury. The highlight of his senior year came against Minnesota and Air Force on Jan. 30, when he earned an all-around event title and a parallel bars title. His accomplishments that week earned him MPSF Gymnast of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 2.

2009: Robinson returned to the NU lineup as the only Husker to compete in the all-around in every meet during the 2009 season. He earned three event titles on the year, including two in the all-around and one on vault.Robinson earned his first all-around title of the year against Iowa and Minnesota with a score of 82.20, before capturing another all-around crown against Minnesota and Arizona State with a score of 83.90. He wrapped up the regular season with a vault title against Minnesota with a season-high 15.95. Robinson competed in the all-around at the 2009 NCAA Championships, where he earned a score of 83.70. His score of 15.60 on vault earned him a spot in the event preliminaries, where he notched a score of 14.20.

2008: After competing on every event but floor exercise early in 2008, Robinson added the event midway through 2008 to crack the all-around lineup for the Huskers. Robinson captured his first vault title with a career-high score of 16.10 against Air Force. Robinson was the only Husker all-around competitor at the MPSF Championships before competing as an all-arounder at the 2008 NCAA Championships. Robinson earned the 2008 Nebraska Most Improved Gymnast award for his efforts.

2007: In his first season at Nebraska, Robinson was one of seven NU freshmen to crack the Husker lineup. He competed in every meet for NU, including the NCAA Qualifier, where he earned a season-high vault score of 8.65.

Prior: Robinson joined Nebraska from Weyandt's Gymnastics Academy in Charlotte, N.C. An experienced gymnast, Robinson was a six-time Junior Olympic qualifier, and finished 31st in the all-around and 10th on the high bar at the 2006 J.O. Nationals. Robinson is also a three-time North Carolina state champion.

Personal: John was born on Feb. 10, 1988, to Don and Rhonda Robinson and has one sister, Samantha, and one brother, William. John is a marketing major at Nebraska.
