Bryan Heard joined the Husker football staff as an administrative assistant before the 2004 season.
In his role with the Nebraska football program, Heard helps coordinate unofficial and official visits for prospects and their families while on campus. He also assists Associate A.D for Football Tim Cassidy with in-house operations such as clinics, summer camps and team travel.
Heard came to Nebraska after working at Texas San-Antonio for one year where he was an academic athletic services intern. In that role, he advised and assisted student-athletes with registration, as well as providing academic support services to student-athletes. Prior to his stint at UTSA, Heard was at Texas A&M from May of 2002 until August of 2003, where he helped with planning and organization of the football program, including recruiting, camps, roster management, team travel and coaches video.
He began his football administrative career as an undergraduate student at Trinity (Texas) University in 2001, where he organized the scout team during practice and assisted in the recruiting process for prospective student-athletes and their families.
A 2002 graduate of Trinity, Heard received a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in business administration.
