2023 (Junior)
Javier Morton played in two games in 2023.

2022 (Sophomore)
Morton played in eight games in his first season at Nebraska in 2022. He made his Husker debut on special teams against Georgia Southern and then saw his first action on defense against No. 6 Oklahoma. Morton also played on special teams against Rutgers, Purdue and Minnesota. He played on both defense and special teams at No. 3 Michigan, recording a tackle on punt coverage. Morton added another tackle on punt coverage against Wisconsin.

Morton came to Nebraska after spending one season at Garden City Community College in Kansas. Morton played in nine games with Garden City in 2021, helping the Broncbusters to an 8-3 record. He totaled 20 tackles with one sack, two pass breakups and one fumble recovery. Morton also returned one punt for six yards.

Morton was originally committed to Alabama as a four-star prospect from Stephenson High School in Georgia. Morton was regarded as one of the top 35 safety recruits in his class.

Personal
Javier was born on May 25, 2002, and he is the son of Devaughn Morton and Ana Everett. Javier is majoring in child, youth and family studies. He has volunteered his time with the Nebraska Football Road Race, Thanksgiving hospital visits and the Huskers’ Day of Service.
