Senior (2019-20)
Korthas capped her Husker career by helping the Huskers to a record-breaking season in 2019-20. As a team at the NCAA Qualifiers, the Husker set the school record for highest overall score (4,707) and posted the second-highest air rifle score (2,373). While the team qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2018, the event was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Korthas competed six times in both smallbore and air rifle posting season highs of 572 and 590, respectively. Off the range, was a CRCA Scholar-Athlete and was named Nebraska's Scholar-Athlete at the GARC Championships Award Banquet. Additionally, Korthas was a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. She also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the third consecutive year.

Junior (2018-19)
Maddie Korthas competed eight times in smallbore and nine times in air rifle over the course of her junior season. Despite fewer appearances than the year prior, Korthas recorded personal bests in both disciplines. She fired a score of 575 in smallbore and a team-leading mark of 592 in air rifle, both in the Huskers' match against Coast Guard. Korthas averaged 565.13 in smallbore and 583.44 over the course of the season. She was also named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for the third consecutive year.

Sophomore (2017-18)
Korthas moved into a role as a regular contributor in her sophomore season. She competed in 12 matches in smallbore and 13 in air rifle, including the NCAA Qualifier match and the GARC Championships. Korthas set career-high scores of 571 in smallbore (vs. Army West Point) and 590 in air rifle (vs. Memphis). Korthas earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2018 and was a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2017. She also earned a spot on the 2018 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Freshman (2016-17)
Appearing in five matches in 2016-17, Korthas notched season bests of 566 in smallbore and 583 in air rifle.  She also earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team and made the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters.

Before Nebraska
Korthas was a member of the Gallatin Valley Sharpshooters, led by Coach Lee Nelson. In 2016, Korthas was named the Montana State Champion in women's air rifle. She also finished sixth at the 2015 Rocky Mountain Rifle Junior Championships in women's air rifle. That same year, Korthas placed 47th in women's air rifle at the Rifle and Pistol National Championships with a personal-best 405.3. In 2014, Korthas competed at the Junior Olympic Championships in women's air rifle.

Personal
Maddison (Maddie) is the daughter of Dan and Melanie Korthas. She was born on Feb. 15, 1998, in Bozeman, Mont. She is majoring in animal science with a minor in business and earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2018 and 2019. She is a six-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection and a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.Off the range, Maddie enjoys hiking, hunting, water sports and horseback riding. She was a member of the honor roll at Belgrade High School during her freshman and sophomore years. She also participated in FCCLA and FFA in high school. Maddie and current Husker Rachel Yager have competed together as members of the same shooting club for eight years.
