2021-22: Sophomore
Rudra Dixit completed his sophomore season at Nebraska with a 5-3 overall singles record. The Olathe, Kan., native started the fall campaign with three-straight victories at the Oklahoma State Invite. He ended the tournament with a 3-0 record, and later advanced to the Consolation Round of 16 in the ITA Regionals at the Dillon Tennis Center. Dixit went 0-1 in the spring, dropping his lone match against UNO.

In doubles, Dixit finished 8-5 overall on the season, with wins in the spring over Creighton, Baylor and Drake. Alongside his partner in the fall, Roni Hietaranta, he advanced to the doubles Round of 8 at the ITA Regionals.

Before Nebraska
Dixit, a transfer from the University of Iowa, joins the team with three years of eligibility remaining. Dixit brings success and experience to the team with a 16-and-under Missouri Valley top-10 ranking, an 18-and-under Missouri Valley top-3 ranking and an 18-and-under USTA top-125 national ranking.

"We are really excited to add Rudra to next year's team," Nebraska Head Coach Sean Maymi said. "We feel his best tennis is yet to come."

Personal
The son of Manish Dixit and Sapana Dixit, Rudra was born Sept. 15, 2001. Rudra is a biological sciences major with a minor in entrepreneurship. He was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2022. He also earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2021-22. He was a member of the 2022 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
