2021-22 (Senior)
All-American Audrey Coffey led the deep Husker distance corps during her senior campaign. Coffey (Naperville, Ill.) notched her first individual victory of the season in the 1,000 freestyle at the Iowa dual.  Continuing her success in the 1,000 free, Coffey took third against a talented Minnesota squad and second against Kansas.

Coffey swam the 1,650 freestyle for the first time of the season at the Mizzou Invitational (Nov. 17-19), where she recorded a runner-up finish with a 16:34.30. She added a top-15 finish in the 500 freestyle (4:52.44). As one of nine Huskers that competed in the U.S. Open Championships (Dec. 1-4), Coffey swam to 12th in the 1,500-meter freestyle (17:25.67) among the elite competition.  She closed the dual season with two victories in the 1,650 freestyle to help power the Huskers to a pair of wins over Illinois and Rutgers.

At her last conference meet, Coffey scored points in the 1,650 freestyle with a 19th-place finish (16:41.71).

2020-21 (Junior)
Coffey returned to lead a talented distance freestyle corps in 2020-21. Coffey earned a second straight trip to the NCAA Championships after a pair of top-16 finishes at the 2021 Big Ten Swimming Championships in Minneapolis. The junior from Naperville, Ill., raced to a 10th-place finish (16:19.73) in the 1,650 free at the Big Ten meet, just shy of a career-best time. She scored 17 points for the Big Red with the swim and qualified for nationals. Nebraska’s No. 2 individual scorer (31 points) as a swimmer at the 2021 Big Ten Championships, she opened the Big Ten meet by advancing to the B-Final in the 500 free, where she placed 13th with a career-best time of 4:47.71. She picked up 14 more points for the Huskers in the 500 free, while also swimming a leg on Nebraska’s 800 free relay team.

Coffey came up just short of All-America honors in her first appearance at the NCAA Championships in 2021. She set a 14-year-old Nebraska record with her time of 16:14.19 to break All-American Lauren Bailey’s previous mark of 16:14.36 in 2006. Coffey smashed her own lifetime best by more than four seconds on her way to a 19th-place finish. Coffey’s performance came after entering nationals as the No. 34 seed in the event.

During an abbreviated regular season, Coffey earned six top-five finishes for the Huskers, including a pair of wins and two runner-up showings. She opened the year with a victory in the 1,000 free (9:53.80) at Iowa, before adding a win in a home dual against Illinois (Jan. 23). She took second in the 1,000 free in a tri-dual with Minnesota and Iowa (Feb. 6). She also swam to a second-place finish in the 500 free against Illinois (Jan. 23), while adding a third-place finish in the 400 IM (4:35.35) against the Fighting Illini.

2019-20 (Sophomore)
Coffey produced a breakthrough season by qualifying for the 2020 NCAA Championships and earning CSCAA All-America honors in the 1,650-yard freestyle. She punched her first ticket to nationals with an eighth-place finish in the 1,650 free at the Big Ten Championships, which included a school-record 1,000-yard split (9:48.15). Her 1,650 time at the conference meet was the No. 2 performance in school history. Coffey was not able to compete at nationals because the 2020 NCAA Championships were canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak in mid-March. Coffey added a 30th-place finish in a career-best time of 4:50.52 in the 500 free at the Big Ten Championships and finished 37th in a career-best 1:48.91 in the 200 free at the conference meet. During the course of the season, Coffey produced 12 top-five individual finishes, including seven victories. During the summer of 2019, Coffey set a Nebraska school record with a long-course time of 16:48.76 in the 1,500-meter free at Speedo Summer Sectionals in Jenks, Okla., to earn a spot in the U.S. Olympic Trials. In the classroom, Coffey was a first-team CSCAA Scholar All-American, a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2020.

2018-19 (Freshman)
Coffey recorded a strong first season for the Huskers. She earned eight top-five finishes, including three victories and three runner-up showings. She won the 1,000 free in the short course against Northern Iowa, then won the short course 500 and 1,000 free races against Illinois. In the relays, Coffey’s best showing came in the 200 free relay against Northern Iowa (Izzie Murray, Kaylyn Flatt, Katelyn Kilpatrick, Coffey) with a time of 1:41.57. At her first Big Ten Championships, Coffey peaked at the right time, setting then-career bests in the 1,650 free (16:34.29, 19th), 500 free (4:55.48, 45th) and 200 free (1:51.48, 51st). Away from the pool, Coffey was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2018-19.
