Hana Musser wasted no time making an impact on the team. As just a freshman, Musser competed nine times in both smallbore and air rifle for the Huskers. Musser helped the Huskers to a record-breaking season in 2019-20. As a team at the NCAA Qualifiers, the Husker set the school record for highest overall score (4,707) and posted the second-highest air rifle score (2,373). While the team qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2018, the event was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Individually, Musser posted career-best scores of 588 (smallbore) and 593 (air rifle). Her 588 in smallbore was the highest ever smallbore score by a Nebraska freshman. She earned honorable mention all-America honors from the NRA in smallbore for her efforts on the range. In the classroom, Musser was named a CRCA Scholastic All-American and eanred a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall semester. She also was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for her service and leadership in the community.
