2020-21 (Senior)
Grace Tiernon closed her senior season by competing in all three dive events at the 2021 Big Ten Championships in West Lafayette, Ind. She took 27th on one meter (245.95), while adding a 29th-place finish on platform (167.35). She also finished 36th (233.50) on the three-meter event. Tiernon's senior season was highlighted by a career-best 262.35 on the one-meter board against Illinois (Jan. 23), when she took fifth individually. She added a fourth-place finish on three meter with a 265.05.
2019-20 (Junior)
Tiernon joined Hallie Roman as the only Husker divers to compete in all three events at the Big Ten Championships in 2020. Tiernon finished 33rd on platform (161.10) at the Big Ten meet, after taking 40th in the one meter (217.10) and 47th in the three meter (197.70). Tiernon produced nine top-10 finishes, including a runner-up effort on the one meter with a season-high 247.79 in the season-opening win over South Dakota State. She added five third-place finishes on the season. In the classroom, Tiernon earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the second straight season.
2018-19 (Sophomore)
Tiernon focused on the platform and one-meter dives throughout the season, culminating with a 21st-place finish (228.50) on platform at the Big Ten Championships. She claimed a season-best fourth-place finish on platform at the Wally Nakamoto Diving Invitational. Tiernon added a sixth-place platform finish with a career-best 234.75 at the Hawkeye Invite. She opened the year with a season-best score on the one meter (248.75) and season-best performance on the three meter (241.35) at Iowa State. Outside the pool, Tiernon earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and claimed her second spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
2017-18 (Freshman)
Tiernon had a solid first season in Lincoln. She compiled eight top-five finishes, including a runner-up finish. At the 2018 Big Ten Championships, Tiernon posted a then-career best in the platform dive to take 27th (217.05). She also competed in the one-meter dive (38th) and the three-meter dive (40th). Tiernon took second with a then-career-best 248.47 on the one-meter board against Northern Iowa. She also notched a career best (266.02) in the three-meter dive against Iowa State. In the classroom, Tiernon earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2017. She was a member of the 2018 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Tiernon came to Nebraska as a Scholastic All-American and the Heritage Christian School (Indiana) Female Athlete of the Year. Tiernon was a two-time sectional champion, the 2017 regional champion and a three-time city champion. She qualified for state three times. Tiernon was named MVP all four years of her high school career and was the team captain her junior and senior year. Tiernon made an appearance at the 2014 and 2015 Junior Nationals in platform while competing for Indiana International School of Diving. She was a teammate of 2020-21 Husker junior Sara Troyer at the Indiana International School of Diving. Tiernon was also a member of National Honor Society.
Personal
The daughter of Terry and Anne Tiernon, Grace was born March 19, 1999, in Fishers, Ind. She has one sister, Emma, and one brother, Luke. A mathematics major, Grace earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2021. She was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2020. She was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, and a five-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll choice. She was a four-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
