The Nebraska women’s tennis team is sending two Huskers to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete in the ITA Sectional Championships this weekend. The tournament runs from Nov. 5-8. Singles play will begin at 9:30 a.m. (CT) each day. The tournament page can be found here.
Representing the Big Red this weekend will be Conley Raidt and Maria Taranova. Taranova has posted a 6-2 singles record this season, and has stitched together four victories in a row. Each of her six wins have come in straight sets.
Raidt has also had an impressive fall season, as she owns a 6-1 record in singles play. Raidt qualified for the quarterfinal round at the ITA Regional Championships in Memphis, which gave Raidt her only loss of the season so far. Raidt is also listed as an alternate in doubles along with partner Katie Spencer.
The tournament is hosted by TCU at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. Live video can be found here. Stay up to date with Nebraska Women’s Tennis by following social media channels (@HuskerWTennis) for fall updates and content.
