Huskers Add Pitcher Lorin Boutte

The Nebraska softball team added an arm to its pitching staff with the transfer of Lorin Boutte to the Huskers on Tuesday. Boutte will be a junior for the 2026-27 season.

“Lorin has excellent vertical movement up and down in the zone,” Head Coach Rhonda Revelle said. “We believe her best days are ahead of her, as her ceiling is high. We are excited to add Lorin Boutte, a right handed pitcher, to our pitching staff, and we believe we have a group of pitchers that can compete and have success against any team in the country.”

Boutte comes to Nebraska after spending her first two collegiate seasons at Ohio State. In 2025, she was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and finished her freshman campaign with a record of 21-9 in the circle. With her 21 victories, she ranked 24th in the country and fourth in the Big Ten. Boutte threw 152.1 innings across 37 appearances in 2025 and struck out 127 batters while walking 68.

The St. Charles, Mo., native fought injuries during 2026 and ended the season with a 7-7 record and 5.99 ERA.

Along with being recognized on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, Boutte was a Softball America and D1 Softball Freshman All-American and a Big Ten Pitcher of the Week in 2025.
