Huskers Face Creighton in Midweek Battle

The No. 45 Nebraska women’s tennis team will be taking on the Creighton Bluejays on Wednesday, April 8, as the third match of its four-match home stretch. The match will be hosted at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Center and is slated to begin at 5 p.m. (CT).

The Huskers (13-6, 6-4 Big Ten) are coming off a split weekend, falling to No. 3 Ohio State on Friday and topping No. 46 Penn State on Sunday. NU has won six of its last seven matches.

Katie Spencer and Conley Raidt rose to No. 38 in the national doubles rankings following their upset over Ohio State’s 13th-ranked doubles Oluwadare/Chavez on Friday. The duo is now 4-1 on the season with two ranked victories, the other being against No. 46 Matsuda/Syrtveit of Washington.

After an undefeated weekend featuring two straight-set victories, Catherine Gagnon joins Spencer and Maria Taranova with nine singles wins, which leads the team for the spring season.
