The Nebraska bowling team has advanced to the semifinals in the winner’s bracket of the Conference USA Bowling Championship. After defeating ninth-seeded Sacred Heart on Wednesday, the fourth-seeded Huskers took down No. 5 seed Louisiana Tech on Thursday.
With a 2-0 start in its first-ever appearance at the Conference USA Bowling Championship, Nebraska will take on No. 1 seed Jacksonville State on Friday at 9 a.m. That match can be seen live on ESPN+.
Nebraska had to win a tough match against Louisiana Tech on Thursday, 2-1. The Huskers opened the match with a 1,006-1,000 win in a traditional match to take a 1-0 lead. Louisiana Tech bounced back with a 1,079-994 victory in a Baker total pinfall match to pull even. But Nebraska came up clutch in a best-of-seven tiebreaker, posting a 4.5-3.5 victory to stay in the winner’s bracket.
On Wednesday, Nebraska swept its opening match against Sacred Heart. The Huskers began the match with a 1,083-1,070 win in the traditional match and completed the sweep with a 1,049-967 win in Baker total pinfall.
The 2026 Conference USA Bowling Championship is being held at Colonial Lanes in Harahan, Louisiana. Through action on Thursday, the Huskers were one of four unbeaten teams in the 12-team, double-elimination tournament.
