Huskers Set For Big Ten Road Matches

The Nebraska women’s tennis team is traveling to Michigan for a weekend of matches against No. 40 Michigan on Friday, March 13, and Michigan State on Sunday, March 15. The match against the Wolverines is set to begin at 4 p.m. (CT) in Ann Arbor. The Huskers will then face off against the Spartans in East Lansing at 11 a.m. (CT).

NU (7-4, 0-2 Big Ten) opened Big Ten play against Illinois and Northwestern last weekend, losing 4-0 and 4-3, respectively.

Freshman Katie Spencer has captured an impressive debut for the Big Red so far this season, totaling six singles wins, which lead the team. Reya Lee Coe and Yuzu Miyoshi paired up to both earn their sixth doubles victory against Illinois, a mark that also leads the team for NU.

Michigan (4-5, 1-1 Big Ten)
History: The Huskers are winless against the Wolverines heading into the 13th all-time meeting between the two teams. Nebraska was most recently swept by Michigan, 4-0, last year in Lincoln.
