Eight members of the 2025 Nebraska football team were recognized for their work in the classroom on Tuesday, as they were selected as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees.
The group includes offensive linemen Tyler Knaak and Jason Maciejczak, tight end Luke Lindenmeyer, wide receiver Dane Key, defensive backs Derek Branch and Brice Turner and kickers Kyle Cunanan and John Hohl.
Lindenmeyer was chosen as a CSC Academic All-American finalist and will advance to the national ballot in hopes of earning Academic All-America honors. This past season, he started all 13 games and hauled in 29 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns en route to All-Big Ten honors from the coaches and media. His catches, receiving yards and touchdowns were career bests, as he had a season-high seven catches against Michigan, one off the single-game school position record.
To earn academic all-district honors, players need to have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a starter or key reserve and be at least a sophomore athletically and academically. First, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 27, 2026.
