Big Red Ready for Rutgers in Final Home Dual

The Nebraska swimming and diving team will conclude regular-season competition by taking on Rutgers Friday and Saturday at the Devaney Natatorium.

Seniors Kelsey Clairmont, Ellee Delcamp, Gena Jorgenson, Giulia Marchi and Frankie Webb will be honored in their last home meet of the season on Friday evening.

Events on Friday will begin at 5 p.m., before continuing Saturday at 10 a.m. (CT). One-meter diving is slated for Friday, and three-meter diving for Saturday.

Frankie Webb has found success this season through her efforts across the board. In the early season, Webb picked up zone qualifying scores on the one- and three-meter boards. She notched a career-best performance on the one meter against Iowa State with a second-place showing of 283.05. She added a 290.90 to finish third on the three-meter board.

Kelsey Clairmont also secured zone qualifying scores, and recently captured a platform title against Iowa and Illinois with 259.00 points.

Gena Jorgenson continued her successful collegiate campaign by setting meet records and holding the fastest event time early this season. The All-American from Aberdeen, S.D., added to her extensive accolades at the Hawkeye Invite by swimming a 16:00.61 in the 1,650 free to set the invitational’s record. She added a title in the mile against Kansas.

Junior Beatrix Tanko is still hunting for improved times in the late season. In the 100 fly against the Hawkeyes and Illini, Tanko added a top placing time of 54.84.

The Huskers and Scarlet Knights will meet for the eighth time, with NU leading the series 4-3. Last year, the Huskers outlasted Rutgers in a 210-143 win and swept eight events at the Rutgers Aquatics Center in Piscataway, N.J.

A link to live results for the weekend’s dual will be available on Huskers.com, and results can be accessed through the Meet Mobile app. The live video stream can also be accessed through Nebraska's YouTube channel.
