The Nebraska soccer team announced the signing of goalkeeper Avery Gillahan on Tuesday. She will be a senior for the 2026-27 season.
Gillahan spent three seasons at Iowa State before playing her redshirt junior year at Auburn. A two-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week in 2023 and a Goalkeeper of the Week in 2024, Gillahan has recorded eight shutouts in her career and has a 1.663 goals against average. She has amassed 160 total saves across 3,246 minutes of action.
Gillahan adds experience to the Huskers’ goalkeeper room, as she was Iowa State’s starting keeper in 2023 and 2024. She hails from Strongsville, Ohio, and is the daughter of Catherine and Michael Gillahan.
