Lincoln, Neb. - The fourth ranked Nebraska bowling team has signed its final recruit of the 2025 cycle, Alejandra Sandoval of San Jose, Costa Rica. Sandoval joins Taylor Kretz of Erie, Pa. and Maggie Porter of Cambridge, Wis. as the third signee of the 2025 class.
"Alejandra is an accomplished international player from Costa Rica with a very supportive group of friends and family in her corner," head coach Paul Klempa said. "Alejandra has had much success with her national team and she figures to be instrumental in future Husker Bowling successes during her career. We are thrilled that Alejandra chose to be a Husker and she will be another great fit with our current team."
Sandoval was a 2025 National Sub-Champion in Costa Rica, attending Colegio Humboldt Schule in San Jose. She comes to Lincoln with the intent of studying biomedical engineering in addition to bowling for the Huskers.
"Nebraska was always one of my top choices for fulfilling my dream of college bowling." Sandoval said. "When I went to visit, I loved everything they had to offer, and I can imagine myself fulfilling my dream at that university."
Sandoval, Kretz and Porter will join the Huskers for the 2026-27 season next fall.
