Nebraska moved to 6-0 with an 80-57 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne on Monday. Nancy Lieberman Award candidate Britt Prince scored 18 points and set a tournament record with a game-high seven assists to lead four Huskers in double figures against the Mastodons, who won 27 games a year ago. Earlier in the day, Prince was named to the Big Ten Conference's Weekly Honor Roll for her 30-point performance in a win over Oral Roberts last Wednesday. Prince is averaging a team-best 20.7 points, while adding 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Eliza Maupin added 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting against Purdue Fort Wayne. The 6-2 graduate forward added four rebounds, three assists and two steals to help the Huskers surge in the second half. Maupin has scored 30 points on 14-of-17 shooting in just over 40 minutes of action in the past two games for the Big Red. She is averaging 10.8 points per game on the season.

Maupin was one of three Huskers to put up double figures off the bench, joining sophomore forward Amiah Hargrove and junior guard Logan Nissley, who each finished with 11 points. Hargrove is averaging 9.3 points and a team-leading 6.7 rebounds per game on the season, while Nissley is contributing 7.3 points while shooting 58.3 percent (7-12) from three-point range.

Junior Jessica Petrie has continued her strong play by averaging 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds through six contests after getting eight points, five boards and a tournament-record three blocks against Purdue Fort Wayne.

Senior Callin Hake continues to provide outstanding leadership for the Huskers. The 5-8 guard from Victoria, Minn., is averaging 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and a team-best 4.2 assists. She managed seven points against the Mastodons, including the final five points of the first half to cap an 11-0 Big Red run heading to halftime.

Sophomore Petra Bozan also pitched in seven points against Purdue Fort Wayne. The 6-3 center from Split, Croatia is averaging 8.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in her first year as a starter. Bozan is one of eight Huskers averaging better than 7.0 points through the first six games of 2025-26.

Scouting the Virginia Cavaliers
• Virginia improved to 5-1 with a 69-48 win over Northwestern State on Monday at the Emerald Coast Classic.

• Virginia is in its third season under Coach Amaka "Mox" Agugua-Hamilton, who spent her previous three seasons at Missouri State. She led the Lady Bears to back-to-back NCAA Tournament bids in her final two seasons, including the 2022 NCAA Sweet Sixteen. She was 74-15 in three years at Missouri State, and was 31-31 in her first two seasons at Virginia.

• Kymora Johnson leads a balanced Virginia attack. The 5-7 guard, who joins Nebraska's Britt Prince on the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List, is averaging team bests of 15.5 points, 5.3 assists and 2.5 steals. A first-team All-ACC pick and honorable-mention All-American last season, Johnson also leads the Cavaliers with 16 three-pointers and adds 3.7 rebounds per contest. She had 10 points and three assists in Monday's win over Northwestern State.

• Tabitha Amanze provides a force inside for Virginia. The 6-4 forward from Nigeria who spent her first three seasons at Princeton, averages 9.7 points and 7.2 rebounds to go along with 1.7 blocks per game. She four points, one rebound and a block in just 11 minutes as a starter in the win over Northwestern State.

• Graduate transfer Romy Levi gives the Cavs more size and all-around production. The 6-3 guard from Israel who spent the past two seasons at USF after spending her first three collegiate seasons at Auburn, is averaging 7.8 points and a team-best 8.0 rebounds, while adding 4.0 assists. In UVA's 94-47 win over Longwood last Thursday, Levi notched a triple double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, joining teammate Kymora Johnson and former Virginia guard Dawn Staley as the only players in school history to accomplish the feat. Levy had four points, four rebounds and three assists in the win over Northwestern State.

• Jillian Brown, a former teammate of Nebraska starting guard Hailey Weaver at Northwestern, has started five of UVA's six games this season. The 5-11 guard is averaging 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds after going for 10 points, four rebounds and three assists in Monday's win over Northwestern State. She missed the 2024-25 season with an injury after playing 30 games with 10 starts for the Cavs in her first season in Charlottesville in 2023-24.

• Paris Clark, a 5-8 senior guard, rounds out Virginia's probable starting five by averaging 9.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals. Clark leads the Cavaliers with her 42.9 three-point percentage (6-14), while hitting 80 percent (16-20) of her free throws. A 2022 McDonald's High School All-American, Clark began her career at Arizona before playing the past two years for Virginia. She had five points and three rebounds in Monday's win over the Lady Demons.

• Virginia has received significant production early from its bench, including 8.8 points and 3.5 rebounds from Breona Hurd. However, the 6-2 sophomore forward did not play against Northwestern State or last Thursday against Longwood.

• Gabby White, a 5-10 freshman guard, has added 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds. She led the Cavaliers with team highs of 13 points and six rebounds off the bench in the win over Northwestern State.

• Caitlin Weimar (6.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg), a 6-4 graduate forward, and Adeang Ring (4.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg), a 6-5 sophomore from Sydney, Australia, add outstanding size off the bench for the Cavaliers.

• Weimar, who was the 2024 Patriot League Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year at Boston U., produced a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench in last Thursday's win over Longwood. A three-time All-Patriot League selection, Weimer started her career as the MAAC Rookie of the Year at Marist in 2020-21, before three successful seasons at Boston. She transferred to NC State for the 2024-25 campaign, but missed the entire season with a hip injury.

• Ring appeared in 23 games at Central Florida last season. She spent the 2023-24 season at Bella Vista College Prep in Phoenix, Ariz.

• Virginia added former LSU national champion Sa'Myah Smith to its roster in April. A member of the 2023 SEC All-Freshman team, Smith averaged 11.7 points and 7.6 rebounds before suffering a torn ACL in the seventh game of her sophomore season. She averaged 6.6 points and 6.4 rebounds over 36 games with 28 starts to help LSU to the Sweet Sixteen last season before transferring. She had five double-doubles and led LSU with 51 blocks. She has not played this season. Smith is a member of the Katrina McClain Award Watch List this season along with Nebraska's Natalie Potts.

• Nebraska did not play Virginia, but the Huskers ended their 2000 season in Charlottesville, Va., against Boston College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Nebraska lost 93-76 to the No. 17 Eagles on March 17, 2000.
