Lincoln, Neb.- Head Coach Chuck Chmelka announced that four gymnasts will be joining the Nebraska Men’s Gymnastics team for the 2026-27 season. The gymnasts include Ty Herzing, Danny Sanjuanico, Gage Kalley and Cole Miller.
Chmelka’s thoughts on the new signees: “Our staff and team are very excited to have four outstanding young men join our Husker men’s gymnastics family. We filled all our gaps with this class, and each athlete is a great All-Around gymnast, but each has outstanding individual events to help our team get to the next level of NCAA competition. Ty Herzing from State College, Pa., is a talented All Arounder who excels on the Pommel Horse, Parallel Bars, and the High Bar. Gage Kalley from Roswell, Ga., is an elegant All-Around gymnast who excels on Floor Exercise, Pommel, Horse, Parallel Bars, and High Bar. Cole Miller, who became our first gymnast from the state of Alaska, excels on Floor Exercise, Rings and Vaulting. Danny Sanjuanico from Plano, Ill., is an outstanding Pommel Horse and Parallel Bar competitor.”

Herzing is a Parallel Bar and High Bar National Champion, 2x U.S Champs member, a bronze medal winner on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars at the 2025 Champs and an Elite Team Cup Member.
He is also a 4x Honor Roll Recipient.

Danny Sanjuanico- Oswego, Ill.

Sanjuanico is a sixth-place finisher at 2025 Nationals, a 5x JE National Qualifier, a 2x USA Championship qualifier, a bronze medalist at Elite Team Cup, a 3x State Champion and a 2x Regional Champion.
Sanjuanico on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because my eyes were set on it from the start. I always loved the team spirit you guys had during the competitions I watched. I looked up to Nathan York, and he really inspired me to want to come to Nebraska and become a Husker. I’ve always liked the colors and the uniforms and jackets you guys get. I love the campus too, and the men’s gym is honestly the best one I’ve seen at any college.”
Gage Kalley- Roswell, Ga.
Roswell Gymnastics, Head Coach Felippe Mendonca
Kalley is a 6x JE National qualifier, 4x R8 Elite Team, 4x GA Elite Team, 2024 R8 Elite Team Cup Member, 2025 R4 Elite Team Cup Member, 2x US Championship Qualifier and 5x State Event Champion.
Kalley is also a 1x Academic All-American.

Cole Miller- Palmer, Alaska
Denali Gymnastics, Head Coach Brandon Bushard
Miller is a 1x JO National All-Around Champion, 2x National Floor Champion, 3x Regional Elite Team Member, 5x Regional Champion, 9x State Champion and 2x Jr. National Development Team Member.
He is also a 4x Honor Roll Student, National Technical Honor Society Member, 4x Academic All-American and has a 4.0 GPA.
