Hannah Kono, Jessica Jolly and Danica Lundgren were named Nebraska's Big Ten Golfers to Watch for the 2025-26 season, the conference announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Kono, a junior from Enkoping, Sweden, is Nebraska's top returning golfer from a year ago. The transfer from Oakland University competed in 30 rounds for the Huskers and posted a 74.93 stroke average in her first season in Lincoln. She closed the year with four top-25 individual finishes.
Lundgren was also a significant contributor in her first season at Nebraska in 2024-25. The sophomore from Austin, Texas, produced a pair of top-five individual finishes including a tie for third at the PDI Intercollegiate - hosted by UCF with a Husker individual season-best 207 (-9) to open the spring. She added three consecutive top-35 showings later in the spring and ended her freshman season with a 75.70 stroke average over 23 rounds.
Jolly, a sophomore from Rockford, Mich., hopes to make an immediate impact to the Nebraska lineup in her first season with the Big Red. Jolly earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors as a freshman at Illinois State, helping the Redbirds to the 2025 MVC Championship under current Husker Head Coach Breanne Hall.
Jolly opened her Nebraska career with a tie for 19th at the season-opening Sam Golden Invitational in Corinth, Texas (Sept. 8-9). She closed with a three-round total of 211 (-5) as NU's top finisher at the event.
Jolly, Lundgren, Kono and the rest of the Huskers will be back in action at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo. (Sept. 22-23).
This spring, the Big Ten Women’s Golf Championship will take place at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, California (April 24-26), while the 2026 NCAA Golf Championship will be held for a third consecutive year at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
