Former Nebraska men's golfer Ryan Lenahan tied for fifth at the 2025 PGA Professional Championship on Wednesday to earn a spot at the PGA Championship at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., May 12-18.

Lenahan, who plays out of the Walnut Creek Country Club in New Hudson, Mich., closed with a four-round total of 284 (-3). His impressive round of 65 (-7) on the Wanamaker Course at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on Tuesday included an eagle on No. 16. It followed a 71 (-1) on Monday, after he opened with a 73 (+2) on the Ryder Course on Sunday. Lenahan closed the tournament with a 75 (+3).

Lenahan's performance came against a field of more than 300 club professionals that included former Huskers Steve Friesen, Jay Cottam and Jim Troy.

Lenahan was a four-year letter winner for the Huskers from 2002-03 through 2006-07. He helped Nebraska to back-to-back NCAA Central Regional appearances in 2006 and 2007.
