The Nebraska women’s golf team heads to Sunset, S.C., to compete in the 2025 Clemson Invitational, March 28-30.
The three-day, 54-hole event at The Reserve at Lake Keowee begins Friday, March 28 with tee times off No. 1 and No. 10 at 8 a.m. (CT) for the first round. Saturday’s second round will follow the same schedule, before the tournament concludes with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (CT) for the final round on Sunday, March 30.
The Huskers will be part of a loaded 15-team field that includes five Big Ten teams, including Maryland, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State along with the Huskers, four SEC teams (Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee) and four ACC schools (Clemson, Louisville, Miami, SMU) along with Harvard and UNC Wilmington.
Miu Takahashi, who was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week (March 20) after leading Nebraska with a fifth-place finish with a 215 (-1) at the Spring Break Shootout (March 17-18), will play out of the top spot in the Husker lineup at Clemson. The senior from Nasu-machi, Japan owns a 74.79 stroke average while competing in all 24 rounds in the Husker lineup this season.
Hannah Kono earned the No. 2 spot in the Husker lineup in South Carolina. The sophomore from Enkoping, Sweden tied for 15th with a 223 (+10) in Florida and carries a 74.48 stroke average over 21 rounds for the Big Red this season.
Redshirt sophomore Symran Shah matched Kono with a tie for 15th at the Spring Break Shootout with a 223 (+10) in the best performance of her collegiate career.
Redshirt sophomore Lauren Thiele and freshman Eden Lohrbach round out Nebraska’s five-player lineup at Clemson.
